12 Historical Romance Novels I haven't read...

Norah Hess

Amanda Quick

Colleen McCullough

Iris Johansen

Julie Garwood

Georgette Heyer

Rosemary Rogers

Julia Quinn

Janet Dailey

Johanna Lindsay

Kathleen Woodiwiss

And one that I have read...

Dorothy Garlock

I just love Dorothy's books!!!!! Now, that I have her in mind, I may have to make a trip to the library...

  1. I've never read any of those. LOL. Hope you get to read them soon :)

  2. I've none of them but some look interesting :D

  3. I haven't read any of those. Like to know if you think they're good.

  4. Coincidence! I haven't read any of them either, even #13.

  5. I have never read any of those books either but will check them out...

    Happy T13

  6. I've read most of them, and they are all good. Enjoy.

  7. I don't think I have ever read any of those, have read some of the author's listed though.

  8. I haven't read any of them except Keeper of the Heart...but if I'm remembering right, it isn't an historical...I think it's part of her sci-fi series about the race of big beautiful barbarians from a planet where all men are alpha beyond alpha...I'm pretty sure it's the second or third in the series....

And man, now it's really bugging me that I can't remember the title or author of that book I quoted for your avatar. I could almost tell you the plot scene by scene though...freakin' selective memory.

  9. Oops, wait a sec. Beloved Scoundrel...pretty sure I read that one too...

  10. I just read that Julia Quinn one. It was grrrrrrrreat!

  11. LOL. i knew I could count on you, SdB. Keeper of the heart was listed under odd. *shrug* oh well. we can't all be perfect, right? ;)

  12. I haven't read any of those either!!

Thanks for the nice comment on my blog..yours rocks too!!!!

  13. I haven't read most of them but I do love me some Amanda Quick. Especially some of the scientist characters. Yum, yum.

  14. Great list! Thanks for your vote on the P&E poll! Happy T13!

  15. Annon is right~ Keeper of the Heart is the sequel to Warrior's Woman, a fantasy romance series. It was probably listed as historical because all but that trilogy of hers are historicals.

I've read the Lindsey and the Garwood, and a few different historicals by Johansen and Woodiwiss, though not those mentioned here. It's been so long since I've read a historical I think I may need to pluck one out of the TBR pile sometime soon.

  16. Oooh I've read Johanna Lindsey's! I love her books! Especially when she puts spanking in them! LOL!

    My TT is at

  17. Dude, my list of "not reads" would stretch around the Earth LOL. I like Colleen McCullough, though.

Are these on your to-be-read pile?

    Thanks for visiting my TT

  18. Gasp! You've never read The Flame and the Flower?! I can forgive you the others, but Woodiwiss is the grandmother of our entire genre! Get crackin', my dear.

  19. I'm convinced...I must get back into historicals...
